Making Connections

In annual September-style, PSAA students headed to Rosario Marine Station in Anacortes, WA, for the all-school Connect Retreat. September 20-22 were spent building up our school community, starting with community service in our local neighborhoods. Before taking off to Rosario, teams of PSAA students participated in several community service projects in the Seattle area. From clearing blackberry bushes to preparing meals for those in need, students made a difference that was noticeably impactful. In a thank you email, the Program and Deliveries coordinator of Lifelong (Food Bank) wrote, “It was great meeting you and the students from PSAA today! I wanted to follow-up and express how happy our staff was with your group today. Zeke, Sunshine, and I are in agreement that your students showed a level of maturity and helpfulness that is rare to come by in high school students.” Knowing that we can go out and affect lives for the good in our community is truly awesome and we look forward to doing this more throughout the year.
