Cultivating Tomorrow's Leaders

Here at PSAA, we strive to follow the example of Jesus, who calls us to "love others as you would want to be loved." We seek to live out this calling both on and off campus. Through weekly chapels, prayer gatherings, and spontaneous interactions with each other, we encourage one another to love as Jesus exemplified in the Gospel stories. We pursue a campus atmosphere where the teachings of Jesus are not mere theory, but realized in our actions.

We also seek to love others through community service off campus. At least once a month, we take part in service projects—sometimes involving the whole student body, other times in smaller groups. We deliver food and clothes to the homeless of Pioneer Square, visit the elderly in nearby rest homes, and work to improve local parks and public facilities.

Beyond our local community, we also seek to serve people in other cities across America and around the world. Every other year we take part in a domestic mission project; on alternating years, we go abroad. Whatever the location, our aim is the same: to identify a group of people in need and offer our materials and labor to improve their dignity and quality of life.

Whether within our walls, in the nearby community, or on the other side of the world, we take seriously the call to be like Jesus, who came "not to be served but to serve."

PSAA supports an active campus ministries program, giving each student the opportunity to be involved in some form of ministry. Its officers are elected class pastors.
